The Benefits of Membership

The club is affiliated with the Photographic Society of Queensland (PSQ) and so members are as well

Members have access to a reference library of books, material and other equipment to use

The club has been established since 1955

Members own experience ranges from beginner to advanced stages of photography knowledge

Workshop meetings are held each month on various photographic subjects to teach and assist members and at no extra cost

Some of the topics discussed with members are:
+ How to operate various camera brands/models and use of other photography equipment and accessories
Instruction in basic and advanced computer software editing techniques using Lightroom, Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Paintshop Pro, Canon DPP, Nikon ViewNX2 and other editing programs.

+ Assistance for beginners to photography

Member’s photo competitions are held monthly and prizes can be won.

Some club members are PSQ  accredited photography judges.   Comments from judges on member’s competition photos are constructive and meant to help members improve their photography

We have a Facebook page and a Flickr photo page that Club members can access

Outings are planned at different times to photograph various subjects and members can expect to be helped in the operation of their cameras and how to improve their photography.

Membership means members are covered by the protection of an Incorporated club.
